Visionary Moments with Pastor Crenshaw - The Stimulus Package

Fresh out of bondage, the Israelites had very few worldly possessions. All they possessed were the items given them by the Egyptians to hasten their departure. They were human, like each of us they had great concerns for their welfare and survival. They wondered where the next meal was coming from. They were concerned about what they would wear when the clothes on their backs fell apart. They stressed over when the next attack from the enemy would come. They were concerned for their very existence.

If we are honest from time to time we all find ourselves concerned about things in our lives. We all share concerns about the monthly financial obligations, insecurity of our jobs and the influences other youths are having on our children.

No matter how spiritual we are or pretend to be, everyone finds himself or herself concerned about some place in their life. And every Child of God should be concerned where the next attack is coming from because the devil is working overtime to bring down the saints of God. But as God promised the Israelites He has promised us, I have subdued your enemy and I have decided your inheritance.

God told them, every place the soles of your shoes shall touch I have given that place to you. But notice, God informs them where to walk. God directs them where to walk because, if God promises them where ever they tread will be theirs, then God must be sure where they are going because, God cannot Lie! If they go to a place where other gods are worshipped, that unholy ungodly place becomes theirs.

God desires to do the same thing with us. God is willing to give us every place where our feet tread, but we must follow His direction as where to go. God informs us the promise is only good, if we are willing to walk where He has directed.

God understands these Israelites have Slave Mentality. They are not accustomed to providing for themselves. God realizes, if they were allowed to pick the place where they staked their claim on the land, they would not venture out very far.

Because God loves us more than we love ourselves, while He understands our insecurities, He yet desires to bless us. Therefore He prepares blessings for us that are more than we can imagine. Blessings that are greater than we ever expected, anticipated or dreamed.

If you walk according to God's Word, stay in His holy will, and give yourself totally to His holy way, everywhere the soles of your feet shall touch God will give to you!

Walk in faith knowing everywhere your feet shall tread, is already yours!

"Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be." - Deuteronomy 11: 24

Visionary Moments with Pastor Crenshaw - Looking Back, Moving Forward

February marks the beginning of what is commonly referred to as Black History Month. This celebration was established by the renowned educator and historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Dr. Woodson realized that the African should be recognized for his contribution to America. Since its conception many have been honored and introduced for their brilliance. It is because of their struggles and mighty triumphs that we stand today. Paul was a Greek Jew who was a devout man of God. Paul was a prolific preacher and matchless missionary with a Christian message to save the entire world, however he had a special love for his people. Let us follow the example of Paul. As Christians we are not called to be separatists or racists, but warriors in the true faith. As African-Americans our goal should be a continuing love for God, others and ourselves. We are not the cursed generation! We are not the afterthoughts of Biblical literature, but a peculiar people, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood.

In the twenty-first century, it is important to remember affirmations. We must not allow the devil to deceive and lead us into the horror of low self-esteem. We have been blessed to have been created in the image of the creator. Man is God's greatest signature. The creator was so pleased with His creation that He responded "it was very good." We are all wonderfully and fearfully made. We were all created talented and uniquely beautiful.

Transformation is essential to living a victorious life. We no longer look to the world for solace, but rely on our Father for strength and guidance. Our habit (addictions) can be overcome if we first renew our minds. Once we have accepted Christ, our relationship immediately change, we become workers together for the kingdom.

There is strength in the practice of proclamation. We have been commissioned to declare the excellent greatness and sure mercies of God.

Witnessing isn't always formal (church). Our testimony should be observed through attitudes, choices and/or lifestyle. Instead of giving the enemy victory, commit to giving God the glory. Each day is blessing from God-- decide to be proactive instead of reactive.

Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. - Romans 10:1

Daily Devotion 2-16-09

"Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:" Isaiah 40:4

We all from time to time in life have our own personal valley experiences. We find ourselves going from being on the mountain top one minute and in the valley the next. Life has a way of turning on us very quickly and we have to be ready for every turn and twist life has for us. When we are going through the difficulties of life we should always remember no matter how much we feel alone, we are never alone. The Lord is always with us, through good and bad through it all the Lord is there for us. Not only is the Lord with us but, He is always making ways for us, even when we can not see them. I encourage you today to know the Lord is always with you, through every turn and twist your life takes. Even when you are in the valley of life you can remember the promises in this Scripture. The Lord will make every valley in your life to be lifted up, it does not make a difference how low the valley is, The Lord will lift the valley up. Every mountain you face and every hill you have to climb will be brought down low, by the Lord so you will not have to climb the mountain that is front of you. Every thing in your life that is out of order and crooked will be made straight, and every rough place will be made smooth, because you have put your trust in the Lord. You are not alone as you go through this valley experience, and it is a hard journey you are on now, and it looks like the valley is getting lower and the mountain is getting higher. Even in those times know and trust the Lord to be there with you and for you, and know even while you are in the valley He is lifting the valley for you. I thank God He is still making ways for me even when I am in the valley, and making all of my crooked places straight., This is why I know without hesitation nor trepidation, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Run's Words of Wisdom 2-13-09

Good morning. Prayer shouldn't be thought of as a duty. It is a gift. We don't need a scolding but a reminder of the promise of prayer and the wonderful gifts that God bestows upon us. :-)

Visionary Moments with Pastor Crenshaw - GOD KNOWS

God will either remove you from the storm or join you in it.
God Knows

We all are on our own personal spiritual journey in this life. Yet, many of us do not realize that God is the One who is directing and guiding our path. At one time or the other, we all have found ourselves in situations, whereby, we became depressed or we panicked because of the decisions we had to make. At one time or the other, we have found ourselves not knowing if we were coming or going because we had not been good stewards of our time, gifts or finances. We all must remember that God is the strength and joy of our lives. There is nothing that we can do without the help of the Lord. God knows our every care and all of our concerns. As each one of us continues to grow and develop more spiritually, it is time for us to commit hearts and surrender our wills to the Lord. As we look around us, we see people experiencing undue suffering. We see the unpredictability of the weather, people and a host of different situations. When we think about it, we should understand that God is preparing us for the coming of His glory by waking up our minds to the truth of His Glory. We must continue to read and study the Word of God with more energy and spirit. We must allow our minds to hear the Voice of God as He speaks to us about what is going on around us and in us. God has given us the power to overcome anything and everything in our lives. We just need to trust and believe that we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength to do all things. Paul is reminding Timothy that in spite of those false teachers, the Church still stands bold and clear on the faith it has received. There is nothing that can tear the Church apart because God has certified it and it is God who has established it. God surely knows those who are His. If we will only commit ourselves to Him, then we begin to see that the Lord really does make a difference in our lives. It is time that we give our lives to Christ and not to fear the things that the world will try to do to us.
Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness." 2 Timothy 2:19
